Have you ever:
- Had a tattoo or body piercing
- Shared a toothbrush or a razor (low to medium risk)
- Had a blood transfusions before screening was introduced (in most countries before 1992)
- Shared equipment for injecting drugs or cocaine straws
- Had any medical or dental interventions in countries where equipment is not adequately sterilised
- Had any needle stick injuries (especially emergency services and healthcare workers)
Then you could have hepatitis C!
Have you ever:
- Had unprotected sex or had more than one sexual partner
- Had blood-to-blood contact, which could occur through the sharing of needles, razors or toothbrushes
- Had a tattoo or body piercing
- Worked in a high risk environment (e.g. prison, hospital, country where Hepatitis B is common)
Then you could have hepatitis B!
